Till 6 CPC , defence forces used to get waitage for pension. Now everyone is 50%. We must for addition of waitage for calculating Pension, we should get more than 50%.
In that case, we need to have a separate Pay commission for the Armed Forces. However, the moot point is whether the babus will agree for the same. Remember, the previous government announced that we will have a separate pay commission. The babus successfully scuttled it.

While it is laudable that the service chiefs, have for the first time in living memory, taken up the issue of pay and rank parity of the armed forces with their civil counterparts, this should serve as a warning for the Government of the day, to honour their commitment to the armed forces, who have consciously and deliberately been downgraded by scheming bureaucrats. It is indeed very surprising that an astute political class cannot understand the devious machinations of their own bureaucrats who have undermined the armed forces, and by extension, played with the integrity and sovereignty of the Country, by playing down the armed forces who are the de facto guardians of maintaining peace, tranquility and sovereign status of the Country.
You know that recently when a joint secretary was suspended, the entire IAS force rallied behind him, which, according to my thinking, is patently illegal and amounts to mutiny in military terms.
The next logical step if the government does not budge is for the Chiefs and several down the line as their successors to resign giving personal reasons (albeit, in reality, it is to protest the adamant nature of the government) and the two former fouji ministers to resign citing that they are NOT with the government as far as this decision (indecision) is concerned. Some may ask, "so what? someone down the line who is a black will gleefully accept the post of the chief?". Well, he will not be welcomed by the serving soldiers. At least, let them do it and see.
Sir, If past is a pointer, our 3 C's are just trying to cover themselves up , as it appears to be well planned scripting, NDTV News- RM has very tersly to 3 Chiefs to implement the 7CPC....any takers...rkg

With Past being a pointer, let,s keep our fingers crossed, MoD & PMO Babu's being in league have already prompted RM to order his 3Cs to implement CPC forthwith,as usual anomalies can be taken care by 8th CPC.

Brig Ranbir Sethi has raised very valid points. High time due cognizance of scheming by bureaucrats & their compatriots viz., accounts people against defense service personnel at the Nations cost is taken.
Dear Sir, they will not, now they know where future lies otherwise they should have sounded PM and RM for great disharmoy and demoralizing factor for soldiers.
Root cause of degradation of armed forces, accumulated since decades can be attributed to the following :
1.Bureaucrat's despise towards armed forces, inherent in their training & functioning, and their strong hold on the political set up, rendering them incapable of affecting any change in the mindset of bureaucrats.
2. Failure of the Service Chiefs to protect interests of their personnel, thereby providing further encouragement to the bureaucrats to continue with their actions in degradation of the three services.
3. Failure of the Judiciary to ensure timely and just interpretation of their Orders, which have been openly violated by the bureaucrats in the MOD, thus making a mockery of the country’s judicial system.
One cannot expect any overnight recovery in the attitude of such bureaucrats, unless they are forced to do so.
However, positive actions by Service Chiefs and role of Judiciary will play a very significant role towards arresting this trend.
Political machinery must shed their fear of bureaucrats and act immediately to reverse the injustice caused to the men in uniform. Any delay on their part may endanger national security.
History will not forget all those who are responsible for creating this humiliation of the men in uniform.
